Happy New Year ladies and gentleman! I hope that each of you celebrated well with your families and significant others. During the holidays, and on break from school, I took time to really reflect on who I am and what the Partylifemusic brand means to me and hopefully with you all. I discovered an amazing artist with vocals we couldn't even compare to what is currently out now. Not to diminish or slam on anyone else's talents, but I knew once I heard what I heard, she is destined for greatness. Allow me to elaborate a bit further. Naturally whenever you hear a song you either allow your ears to zoom into the vocals, let yourself sing the chorus with the artist, or just enjoy the vibe of the song overall.

Now if you are like me, where your ears happen to pick up all the meticulous details to song arrangement, vocal composition, applied music theory concepts, and the final mix and master of the song in total, then your ears are working the jobs of record label office composed of two hundred or more people. I had the opportunity to visit with her and really explore her underlying interests aside from her bargaining position. So what does this mean exactly? Well when you sit down to negotiate with someone, each person involved has a goal in mind that they are trying to achieve. For example, like the length of a contract. Bare with me as I just recently learned these concepts, so shout out to Professor Eric Miles for teaching this to us at Full Sail University. But what we really want to know is what is our underlying interests. In other words, "what do you really want, or are really looking to accomplish?" After speaking with this talented artist whom I will reveal in a few, I found out that she just really wanted to be able to sing and make a living off her music. So after a few vocal tests to see where she was at harmonically, it was clear that she and I, share a common underlying interest and that is to make a living off of what we love doing the most and to be able to provide for our families. This in turn resulted in a mutual benefit because this is where I will tie in music. Her vocals yearn for the layers that allow them to travel in the frequency auditory spectrum and my compositions are missing the pilot. Imagine a plane without a pilot, just won't go anywhere unless you have one or have one that understands the path your needing to go. Be on the lookout for a Partylifemusic collaboration with vocalist and upcoming artist/songwriter Stacey Navaeah. If you'd like to hear what she can do, click the link on her name. You'll be surprised what you can find out just by listening and asking questions. Till next time,

Pow!
